Support for Young People. Guidance for Families

Thoughtful, individualized care for teens and young adults, with resources for the parents and families supporting them.

Sometimes you know something needs to change. You just don't know exactly what.

Maybe your teen used to be easygoing, and now every conversation seems to turn into a standoff. Maybe they're bright and capable, but school has become a constant source of stress. Maybe they've gone quiet in a way that worries you more than the arguing ever did.

Maybe you're ayoung adult who looks like you're doing "fine," but privately feels anxious, exhausted, stuck, or unsure of what comes next.

Or maybe it's the whole family. You're having the same conversations, getting caught in the same conflicts, and everyone is trying in their own way without quite reaching each other.

You don't need to know exactly what's wrong or what kind of support you need before reaching out.

At Kincove, we help young people and families understand what's happening beneath the surface, identify the patterns that are keeping things stuck, and find a way forward that actually fits.

Who We Work With

TEENAGERS

Adolescence asks young people to navigate a lot at once: identity, independence, friendships, school, family, emotions, and an increasingly complicated social world.

We help teens better understand themselves, work through what's getting in the way, and develop the confidence, flexibility, and skills they can carry with them as they grow.

YOUNG ADULTS

College, work, relationships, identity, family dynamics, burnout, and the pressure to have everything figured out can make these years feel both exciting and disorienting.

We help young adults understand their patterns, build a stronger sense of self, and navigate what's next with greater clarity and confidence.

PARENTS & FAMILIES

It can be hard to know when to step in, when to step back, or how to help when the things you've already tried aren't working.

We help parents and families understand what's underneath recurring conflict, communicate more effectively, and find new ways of relating to one another.

WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE TO WORK WITH US

The Kincove Approach

Personalized for Your Family

Every person is different. We take the time to understand the person behind the symptoms and shape care around their needs, personality, relationships, strengths, and stage of development.

More than one way to help.

Individual therapy may be the right starting point, but it isn't always the whole picture. Kincove offers therapy, family work, parent support, groups, psychological assessment, neurofeedback, and other complementary services that can be thoughtfully combined when useful.

Science-Backed & Brain-Informed

We use the latest research in adolescent psychology and neuroscience to guide every treatment plan. Our work is grounded in an understanding of adolescent and young adult development, relationships, family systems, and the developing brain.

Support beyond the therapy room.
When appropriate, we collaborate with parents, schools, physicians, psychiatrists, and other professionals involved in care so families aren't left trying to connect the dots on their own.

Our Philosophy

We look beneath the behavior.

A teen who seems unmotivated may actually be overwhelmed.

Avoidance may be protecting someone from failure, shame, anxiety, or uncertainty.

Someone can understand their emotions intellectually and still struggle to manage them when it matters.

And the fight about the phone, homework, or curfew is rarely only about the phone, homework, or curfew.

We stay curious about what a pattern means, what keeps it going, and what might help it shift.

That means looking at more than symptoms. We consider development, relationships, temperament, neurodivergence, family dynamics, past experiences, environment, strengths, and the pressures of everyday life.

Because meaningful change usually starts with better understanding.
