Family Reset Intensive
When It's Time for a Different Approach.
When a family feels stuck in the same patterns, weekly therapy can sometimes feel too slow or too spread out to create the momentum needed for change.
The Family Reset Intensive is a personalized 1- or 2-day therapy experience for teens, young adults, and parents/caregivers who need focused support, deeper understanding, and a clearer path forward.
Through dedicated time together, families can slow down recurring conflict, better understand what is happening beneath the surface, and begin practicing new ways of communicating in real time.
What we focus on
Every intensive is personalized to your family's unique needs, but common areas of focus include:
Family patterns and conflict cycles
Understand the patterns behind recurring conflict by identifying common triggers, emotional reactions, and the roles each family member falls into. Together, we'll identify the changes that matter most.
Communication and repair
Practice more effective ways to express concerns, listen with understanding, work through difficult conversations, and reconnect after conflict.
Emotional regulation
Understand what escalates each family member and develop strategies for responding more effectively during difficult moments.
Boundaries and expectations
Create clear, realistic expectations around responsibilities, independence, routines, and boundaries so everyone leaves with a shared understanding.
Independence and motivation
Navigate increasing independence while helping parents and teens find a healthier balance between support, accountability, and autonomy.
Collaborative problem-solving
Move from power struggles to more constructive conversations, shared decisions, and a clearer way forward.
What families receive
Pre-Intensive Intake & Planning
Before the intensive, families complete questionnaires and share background information so we can tailor the experience to your family's history, goals, and current challenges.
Personalized Family Dynamics Map
During the intensive, we'll map your family's communication patterns, emotional triggers, recurring cycles, and strengths to create a shared understanding and identify opportunities for growth.
Guided Conversations and Real-Time Coaching
Throughout the intensive, our clinicians provide real-time guidance through difficult conversations, helping your family communicate more effectively, navigate conflict differently, and practice new ways of relating.
Family Reset Plan
Families leave with a personalized Family Reset Plan that brings together key insights, shared agreements, and individualized guidance they can refer back to at home.
Follow-Up Recommendations
After the intensive, we'll provide personalized recommendations for services and resources that best fit your family's needs.
Families may choose from two formats:
1-Day Intensive
5–6 hours
Investment: $1,250
Best for families who have a general sense of the challenges they're facing and are looking for focused support to strengthen communication, deepen understanding and connection, reduce recurring conflict, and begin practicing new approaches in real time.
2-Day Intensive
4 hours per day
Investment: $1,700
Best for families who would benefit from additional time to better understand what's driving the challenges they're experiencing, explore those dynamics more deeply, practice new approaches, and integrate the work between sessions.
Both options include pre-intensive intake and planning, individualized therapeutic activities, real-time coaching, and a personalized Family Reset Plan.
Every intensive is tailored to your family's unique needs and goals and may include:
Individual parent/caregiver sessions
Individual teen or young adult sessions
Whole-family therapy
Guided conversations with real-time coaching
Communication and relationship repair
Reflection and experiential activities
Collaborative problem-solving
Boundary and expectation planning
Your personalized Family Reset Plan
Rather than spending the entire day in one conversation, the intensive moves between individual, parent, and whole-family sessions to create insight, explore new approaches, and bring everyone back together to apply what they've learned in real time.
What families leave with
By the end of the intensive, families can expect to leave with:
A clearer understanding of the patterns contributing to conflict and disconnection
More confidence navigating difficult conversations
Greater empathy and understanding for one another
Stronger connection and collaboration as a family
A shared understanding and framework for continuing the work at home.
The Family Reset Intensive is not a quick fix. It's a focused opportunity to better understand one another, approach challenges differently, and create a stronger foundation your family can continue building on at home.
