Group Therapy for Tweens & Teens
A SAFE SPACE TO CONNECT AND GROW
There are things adolescents may understand intellectually but experience differently when they hear them from someone going through something similar.
Group therapy gives members a place to realize they aren't the only one, hear perspectives they may not get from friends or family, and better understand how they relate to others.
Led by a therapist, groups give members a chance to:
Build genuine connections with peers they can relate to while strengthening how they communicate and connect with others.
Speak more openly about experiences they may usually keep to themselves.
Build confidence expressing themselves and taking up space with others.
Develop practical tools for handling emotions, conflict, stress, and everyday challenges.
What To Expect In Group
Our groups combine real conversation with enough structure to help everyone feel comfortable participating. Each group has its own focus and is led by two therapists.
Sessions may include check-ins, group discussion, activities, skill-building, or time to talk through what members are dealing with that week. Therapists help guide the conversation and create opportunities for members to learn from one another.
No one is expected to open up before they're ready. Members can take time to get comfortable and participate more as trust develops.
What Makes Group Different
Individual therapy gives you a private relationship with a therapist. Group therapy gives you the opportunity to learn about yourself through relationships with other people.
Members can practice speaking up, navigating disagreement, giving and receiving support, and noticing how they respond when they feel left out, misunderstood, or unsure of themselves.
For many adolescents, hearing “me too” from someone their own age can land differently than hearing advice from an adult.
Cost & Attendance
Group therapy is $50 per 75-minute session.
Some groups run as a set series, while others allow rolling enrollment. Consistent attendance is encouraged because trust and familiarity help create a stronger group experience.
If you can't attend a particular week, you won't be charged for that session. We'll review the schedule and expectations during your consultation or screening call.
A limited number of reduced-fee spots are available based on financial need.
