A place to connect, build confidence, and figure things out alongside their peers.
Being a teenage boy can come with a lot that’s hard to put into words. Friendships change, expectations grow, and there’s pressure to fit in, become more independent, and act like none of it bothers you.
That pressure can show up as anxiety or self-doubt, but also as shutting down, irritability, avoiding things, losing motivation, or having a harder time communicating.
Kincove’s Teen Boys Group gives boys a relaxed, therapist-led space to connect with other boys their age, talk about what’s actually going on, and learn from one another.
Topics We Explore
Groups are process-oriented, which means conversations are shaped by what members are experiencing in their lives. Topics may include:
Friendships and social dynamics
Confidence and self-esteem
Anxiety, stress, and overthinking
Anger, frustration, and emotional regulation
School pressure and motivation
Family relationships and communication
Dating and relationships
Independence and growing up
Technology, gaming, and social media
Identity, belonging, and figuring out who you are
Group Structure & Details
We consider age, developmental stage, personality, shared interests, and what each teen is working through to bring together boys who are likely to relate to and connect with one another.
Depending on interest, we may form one Teen Boys Group or multiple groups.
Ages: 13–17
Length: 10 weeks
Sessions: 75 minutes
Fee: $50 per session
Location: In person at Kincove in Pico-Robertson
Start: Tuesday, September 29th · 5:30–6:45 PM
Once groups are formed, we’ll send a scheduling poll to find a day and time that works best for everyone.
